Milton trenchless sewer repair
We record your Milton sewer with our camera so you can see what it shows and what it cannot show before you decide on a repair. When roots keep coming back through the joints, we clean your pipe and line it from inside.

What a camera shows
Our camera shows the inside of your Milton sewer, and we tell you where it stops.
A sewer camera records the inside wall of your pipe: roots at the joints, cracks, offsets, scale and the distance from your cleanout to each one. That recording lets you see the problem instead of guessing from a slow drain.
A camera cannot see the soil around your pipe, and it cannot pass a heavy root mass or a collapse until we clean or open that section. We mark where our camera stopped and why, so you know what the recording proves and what still needs a look.
It shows. Roots, cracks, offsets, scale and the distance to each defect.
It cannot show. The soil outside your pipe or a section blocked by roots or a collapse.
We tell you. Where the recording stopped and what it would take to see past that point.
A Milton owner describes moving from root cutting to lining.
He wrote that a router cleared his roots for years until it stopped working, then we scoped his sewer and lined it.

Live on the west side of Milton, MA. We have had root issues for years. We used to have a guy come and scrape it with a router every 2 years, but eventually that was not working. Travis at East Coast Pipelines working with Boston Pipelining company came to scope our sewer line after a year since last. With the new root growth we decided to line it. They came back a week later, got a seemingly good deal compared to the quote the year before. Travis and his assistant were very professional and efficient. Let me know exactly what they needed from me and what would happen. Even found a second access point in my sewer line and helped me clear it to access. Lining went well. A year later all is well. I am tempted to scope it again to be sure its fine, but probably save the money.
Alastair B.Google review, Great professional lining crew. Showed up exactly on time, gave an honest assessment of the risks vs cost and the lining only took a few hours. I'll highly recommend.
SteveGoogle review, Travis with Boston Pipe Lining Co and his crew did an excellent job. Travis was straight forward, a professional and easy to work with. He provided the price and thoroughly explained the process from start to finish.
Pat M.Google review,
Slide across each pipe to see roots and scale before and after lining.
Root cutting clears these pipes for a while. A liner covers the joints and cracks the roots use.

We descale buried cast iron so your camera sees the real wall.Scale can hide cracks in your recording. We clean it off, record again and line your pipe when its wall still holds its shape.
Our camera finds these problems in sewers like yours.
Each card is a finding we mark on your recording, with what we do about it.
Camera inspection
Roots fill a joint in your recording.
We mark the distance, cut the roots out and line the run so that joint is covered.
Camera inspection
A joint has dropped or shifted.
We note how far it moved. Our liner bridges an offset our camera can pass; a larger one needs a spot repair.
Before lining
Water is leaving your pipe at a joint.
Our recording shows where flow escapes. Our liner covers leaking joints along the lined run.
Camera inspectionSpot repair first
Our camera stops at a broken section.
We cannot see or line past a collapse. We plan a spot repair there and record the rest of your sewer.
We record, clean and line your Milton sewer in five steps.

We record your sewer and mark each finding.
We run our camera from your cleanout, note the distance to each root, crack or offset and measure your pipe’s diameter.
Hydro jetting
We clean out the roots that blocked the view.
Our jetting clears your pipe so a second recording shows the wall behind the roots.

We install a liner sized from that recording.
We invert a resin-saturated liner into your sewer from your access point so it presses against your old pipe wall.
Curing the liner
We cure your liner into a new wall.
The resin cures into a solid pipe wall inside your old sewer, using the method your liner system calls for.

We record your sewer again so you can compare.
You see the same joints before and after lining, with the roots gone and the openings covered.
Nearby work
We traced backups to a rooted clay lateral in Dorchester, north of Milton.
Our camera found fractures, scale and roots in the clay lateral under a Dorchester basement slab. We jetted the roots out, measured the run from our recording and lined it from an opening beside the basement stairs.
That job is in Dorchester, not in Milton. It shows how a recording turns roots at the joints into a measured liner for your sewer.

Milton sewer facts
Milton lines its own sewers, and your private lateral repair needs a town permit.
Milton is an MWRA water and sewer community. The town’s Engineering Department says it is charged by the volume of sewage it sends to MWRA, and that its inflow and infiltration work includes lining sewer pipes and joints from the inside. That is the same method we use on your private lateral.
Milton requires permits for utility work, including water, sewer and drain repairs on private property, applied for in the Engineering Department. Licensed contractors provide a street opening bond and a drain layer’s bond. Ask us how your repair is permitted before we schedule it.

What can your camera tell me about my Milton sewer?
It shows roots, cracks, offsets, scale and the condition of your joints along the length we can reach, with the distance to each one. It cannot show the soil outside your pipe or a section our camera cannot pass until we clean or open it.
Can you find a second access point on my sewer?
When your recording shows a fitting or cleanout along your line, we can use it. One of our Milton customers wrote that we found a second access point in his sewer and helped him clear it.
Does Milton need a permit for my private sewer repair?
Milton’s permits page says utility work, including sewer repairs on private property, needs a permit from the Engineering Department.
How do I know whether lining or root cutting is the better choice?
Root cutting clears your pipe for now; lining covers the joints the roots use. Our recording shows which joints are letting roots in and whether your pipe still holds its shape for a liner.
