Rockland trenchless sewer repair
We prepare your Rockland sewer before we line it: we clear roots, grease and scale, record the clean pipe and measure the run, so your liner cures against a sound wall.

Our camera van at a street sewer access on our Dorchester job.

Preparation
We prepare your Rockland sewer so your liner cures against a clean wall.
Your liner bonds to what it touches. Roots, grease and scale left inside your pipe sit between your old wall and your new one, and they hide the cracks our camera needs to see. Preparation removes them before any resin work starts.
We jet and descale your pipe, record it again and measure the length and diameter of the run to line. Those measurements set the size of your liner, so it reaches from your access point to the end of the damage.
Clean. We jet and descale your pipe back to its wall.
Record. We record the clean pipe so each crack and joint shows.
Measure. We measure the run that sets the size of your liner.
We prepare and line your Rockland sewer in five steps.

We record your sewer as it is.
Our first recording shows the roots, grease and scale we need to remove.
Hydro jetting
We jet and descale it back to the wall.
Our nozzle cuts roots and strips scale until your pipe wall shows.

We record and measure the clean pipe.
Our second recording shows each crack and gives the length and diameter of your liner.

We install your liner from the access point.
We invert the resin-saturated liner so it presses against your clean pipe wall.
Curing the liner
We cure your liner and record it.
The resin hardens into a new wall, and our final recording shows the lined run.
Slide across these pipes to see what preparation removes.
The left side of each slider shows what we clean out before lining; the right shows the cured liner.

We cut the roots out of your cracked clay pipe. With the roots gone, your liner cures over the cracks they used.
Our first recording finds these in Rockland sewers.
Each one is cleaned out or measured before we line your pipe.
Camera inspection
Scale coats your cast iron.
We descale your pipe until the wall shows, then line it.
Camera inspection
Roots hang through your joints.
We cut them back to the pipe wall so your liner covers the joint.
Before lining
Water leaks at a joint.
We record where it leaks after cleaning and line over the joint.
Camera inspectionSpot repair first
A section has collapsed.
Cleaning cannot fix a collapse. We repair it first, then prepare and line the rest.
We prepared and lined these sewers.

Rockland sewer facts
Rockland owns the stub, and the rest of your sewer is yours to repair.
The Town of Rockland owns and maintains its own wastewater collection and treatment system, which runs to the treatment plant on Summer Street. Rockland’s sewer FAQ says the town owns the sewer lateral up to the connection from the property, known as the stub, and that the rest of the sewer is private property and your responsibility to repair.
The same FAQ says that even when your plumber recommends a repair company, you will need a contractor who is a licensed drainlayer for the town. Ask us how your repair is licensed and permitted in Rockland before we schedule your cleaning and lining.

Boston Pipe Lining did a terrific job at our house cleaning out our main sewer line and relining it. They showed us the before and after video of the line, they answered all of our questions and explained the process very thoroughly. They were very organized, on time and did a very nice job. I highly recommend them! Joe and Maryanne
Maryanne M.Google review, I own a small apartment complex in Newton. The sewer line was 80 years old. Boston Pipe Lining cleaned the old pipe and relined 90 feet all the way to the sewer main in the street. They were on-time, fast, efficient and very courteous. I would highly recommend them!
Debra P.Google review, Travis Trott and his team did a fast efficient job lining our pipe! They were kind and helpful fully explaining the process. We will be happy to recommend Boston Pipe to everyone!

We answer questions about preparing your Rockland sewer.

Why do you clean my pipe before you line it?
Your liner cures against your old pipe wall. Roots, grease and scale left in place stop it from seating and hide cracks from our camera, so we clean first and record again.
Which part of my Rockland sewer is mine?
Rockland’s FAQ says the town owns the lateral up to the stub at your property connection and the rest of the sewer is the owner’s to repair.
Does a plumber’s leak report mean I need a new pipe?
Not necessarily. Our recording shows whether the leak is at joints a liner covers or at a section that has lost its shape and needs another repair first.
