Trenchless sewer repair in Boston’s Back Bay
We renewed a cast iron lateral with recurring backups beneath a finished Back Bay floor, staging our cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining from inside the property.

If trenchless renewal had not been suitable, the alternative was excavating the full route through interior finished space.
We mapped this lateral before we opened access for our equipment.

Setting up a lining job

We cured the liner from inside, reinstated the connections and coated the branches.
We installed and cured the CIPP liner from interior access, then reinstated the connections so the owner's sewer could return to service.
We applied targeted epoxy brush coating where branches needed corrosion protection after cleaning and drying.
Access planning mattered as much as the liner on this Back Bay job.
Because this lateral ran under a finished floor, planning our access opening was as important as selecting the liner material. If your sewer runs under finished space, we plan the access opening around it before we install.

If our camera shows cracked cast iron or failing joints in your sewer, a cured liner can seal those sections. If your pipe has collapsed, it needs a different repair method.
